Meetings of the Northeast chapter membership are held a few times a year.

If you are interested in getting involved and being notified of upcoming events, email us at northeast.inps@gmail.com or find us on Facebook.

General Meeting: Saturday, January 17th, 2015
Chicago Botanic Garden Plant Science Center
1PM-3PM

We’ll have a chapter update, discuss the upcoming elections, and get a tour of the building, including the herbarium and green roof. Meeting attendance includes free admission and parking to the Chicago Botanic Garden. We hope to see you there!

With the new year, we’d like to institute a more regular meeting schedule. Meetings will consist of a short business meeting and a speaker or other feature, and the location will rotate around the region to accommodate our broadly spread membership. Have suggestions for locations or speakers? Let us know! northeast.inps@gmail.com

Election Nominations
Welcome to all the new members who joined us at the Annual Meeting in August, and those who have joined us since. We’d love to hear about what you’d all like to see our chapter do, and have you involved in making it happen. This is your chapter, and were hoping that you can help us achieve great things! The best way to help out is to volunteer for a leadership position. We have a few dedicated officers looking to return for the 2015-2016 term, but we are looking for energetic and interested people and welcome old members and new ones to help out in a variety of ways. We a™re looking for help in the following positions:

President: Vacant
Secretary: Vacant
Field Trip Coordinator: Vacant
Webmaster/Social Media Coordinator: Vacant
Newsletter: Vacant
Speaker/Events Coordinator: Vacant
If you’re interested in any of these positions please let us know. The current officers will be happy to discuss the responsibilities of each position.

Directions: 1000 Lake Cook Road, Glencoe, IL. Enter the garden off Lake Cook Road and tell the gate attendant you’re there for a meeting at the Plant Science Center. They should let you in and give you directions to the center, in addition to a gate code.
